5th January 1992, the day which gifted one of the most shocking discoveries ever found on the history.
It was around 6.P.M the world's most famous mummy was taken for a C.T scan, led by a British Egyptologist HOWARD CARTER. After a few hours of standby the reports came, which again as expected shocked the world with its unending mystery.
So, what was the mysteries that made the mummy so famous? What did the scanning reports suggest?
I WELCOME YOU ALL TO THE LIFE OF TUTENKHAMUN!!
So, who was Tutankhamun? or should I say King Tut?
TUT'S LIFESTORY
Born to the ruling family of the great empire: The Egypt, King Tut descended the throne at a very young age. As per google, Tut was crowned at the age of nine, which was during 1332 B.C. Becoming the ruler of a vast empire at a very young age was a lot of responsibility for a nine-year-old boy, yet Tut tried his best to provide peace and harmony to his civilians. Tut cared for his people's desire and that's when he decided to make an end for the monotheism and changing the people radically to the Egyptian religion which was introduced by his predecessor, Akhenaten. Tut’s advisers restored traditional polytheistic beliefs and artistic styles, emphasizing the worship of Amun-Ra and other deities.
It is believed that Tut himself was an Amun -Ra follower as we see his name TUTENKH-AMUN ,containing the word Amun, which probably would be the god Amun-Ra.
This one act made people to keep a special place in their heart for Tut. Tut made famous and created a legacy.
Ruling less than a decade, death came searching for him. I t is believed that King Tut died at the age of 18. Though his cause of death is unknown it is believed that he died due to malaria and leg fracture. It is also believed that he died due to chariot crash. Sadly, Tut's empire lacked a new descended which made Tut the last ruler of his kingdom.
TUT'S DISCOVERY
Now we know Tut's past. Fast forward to 5th January 1992, Howard Carter stumbled upon Tut's tomb by accident, he found the tomb in valley of kings, his tomb KV62 created a famous legacy as he was the only mummy ever discovered with tons of gold inside the tomb.
It is said that Tut's tomb was like a small house with 3 rooms inside, one consisting of food items, then the other one full of treasure like toys made of gold, cloths, collars made of gold, and it also had a razor for the young prince to groom himself and look handsome. The 3rd room was the room for his coffin, according to Wikipedia Tut's tomb had a three-layer covering the first 2 was for protection of the third coffin, and the third coffin contained Tut's mummified body and lots of gold again, now we get why the people who buried Tut gave a two-layer protection for Tut.
All the gold which was extracted from Tut is displayed at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
